In this PMI Austin Chapter Meeting, Jay Paulson, Director of Engineering, will explore why AI adoption alone does not make delivery more predictable or sustainable. About the speaker

Jay Paulson is a Director of Engineering focused on making engineering delivery more predictable, visible and sustainable. He has spent 25 years leading engineering teams and transformations across complex product, platform and enterprise environments. His work helps leaders improve decision quality by creating greater visibility into delivery risk, capacity and organizational constraints so teams can deliver meaningful outcomes without relying on heroics or burnout.

Jay regularly speaks to engineering leaders, product leaders and executive stakeholders on delivery predictability, organizational resilience, platform strategy, and leadership decision-making. He was selected to present "Platform as Shock Absorber: Preventing a $15M Delay" at PlatformCon 2026. His presentations combine real-world leadership experience, practical examples and systems thinking to help organizations improve outcomes while protecting people.
