Chapter Meeting Details

PMI Austin Chapter hosts monthly dinner meetings where members can network and earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) by attending the presentations. The meetings typically have an attendance of between 50 and 150 people and consist of networking, dinner, chapter business, and a guest speaker. The purpose of the meeting is to provide educational and informative programs on trends in project management, as well as opportunities to network with others who share your interest in project management.

WHO: Meetings can be attended by both members and non-members; members will receive a discount. Please note we are unable to accept on site registrations so please register in advance. 

WHAT: The educational portion of the program will feature a one-hour presentation (1 PDU) and a half-hour chapter updates and networking session (0.5 PDU). Speakers and Topics are posted under the Calendar of Events. PDUs for Austin Chapter members who have had their QR code scanned at the Registration table will automatically be posted within 10 business days of the monthly chapter meeting. WHEN: Meetings are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Networking dinner begins at 5:00 p.m (please note: dinner cutoff date is Thursday at 8:00 p.m. the week prior to meeting). A brief business meeting will convene during/after the dinner from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Speaker presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. 

WHERE:  In 2024, we are making an effort to bring the chapter meeting location to our members. Based on a survey, members would like the meeting held in far North Austin, Northeast Austin, Northwest Austin, and Central Austin. The meeting location will be available on each Chapter Meeting calendar event on our website and in our newsletters.
