Presentation Title: Instructional Design for Project Managers
Introduction to instructional design methodology, ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) approach to learning design, and best practices as it relates to project management.
Learning Objectives:
- Become familiar with instructional design methodology
- Learn key elements of the ADDIE model
- Identify similarities/differences between ADDIE and Project Management models
Participants will gain an appreciation for instructional design methodology, identify similarities and differences between project management and ADDIE approach, and will be able to select best practices that they can immediately practice and apply to existing/future projects.
About the Speaker: Clarrissa Corbett
Clarrissa Corbett is a senior learning executive for a global finance firm headquartered in Austin. She oversees the creation, implementation, and evaluation of the firm’s global manager and employee development programs that are designed to both engage the workforce and drive ongoing business results. Clarrissa is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 17 years of experience in training, performance analysis, and instructional design.
In her role, Clarrissa leads a team of experienced instructional designers, facilitators, and program administrators. Her team uses a systematic approach to build learning and development programs that are scalable, engaging, and relevant to business needs.
Clarrissa has a BFA in studio art, a BA in English studies, and an MA in English studies from Texas A&M University. She also has an MBA from the Baker College Center for Graduate Studies.
