Presentation Title: The New Approach of the PMBOK® Guide 7th Edition
In this webinar, Nader K. Rad, one of the members of the core development team for the seventh edition of the PMBOK® Guide explains the new approach of the standard and the rationale behind the change, and answers your questions about this new edition.
Unlike the previous updates to the PMBOK Guide, which were all about building on top of the existing approach and improving it, the upcoming version is written from scratch. It uses a principle-based approach, instead of the old process-based approach. If you're familiar with the PMBOK processes, process groups, and knowledge areas, it's time to get ready for a new paradigm.
About the Speaker: Nader K. Rad
Nader started working with projects about 24 years ago: first, as a project planner in construction projects, and then he moved to large process-plant projects. In parallel, he was also involved in IT projects and startups.
He gradually moved from project planning into the wider project management domain by helping project managers and companies improve their project, program, and portfolio management systems. Nowadays, he's spending most of his time contributing to standards (P3.express, NUPP, PRINCE2®, PRINCE2 Agile®, and the PMBOK® Guide), and developing eLearning courses in their company, Management Plaza (https://mplaza.training).
