This session will help professionals lean into EQ, notably skills in empathy, social awareness and engagement, as a powerful resource for driving decision making and gaining more support from stakeholders who may have different motivations for any given project.

In this session, Olivia Montgomery will present insights from her research into project managers, specifically survey data into the role EQ plays in project success and how project managers can grow their influence in business strategy. She will also draw on her personal experience as a former PMO leader to discuss practical applications that give you actionable tips to use on the job.

These practical applications include projects with considerable change management requirements. Transitionary periods are often seen as vulnerable times for any organization when important decisions have ripple effects. It’s also when EQ can shine the brightest.
