The Construction Owner Checklist for Project Success |
Description of Presentation |
As energy, industrial, and infrastructure owners embark on large-scale capital construction initiatives, they rely on their PMOs and key organizational functions to ensure successful project delivery. However, many owners find themselves unprepared—lacking the necessary structure, expertise, and tools to manage complex or mega projects effectively. Since large-scale construction is not their core business, they often face organizational and operational gaps that become evident too late in the process. Research consistently highlights poor communication—particularly at the organizational level—as the primary reason for project failures. Misalignment often starts with the project owner, whose decisions (or lack thereof) create a domino effect, disrupting the entire capital project lifecycle and affecting all stakeholders involved. Addressing these gaps early is critical to ensuring successful project execution and minimizing costly setbacks. |
