TITLE

Project Management in Action: Driving Success in Cybersecurity Incident Response

Description of Presentation

In today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape, cybersecurity incidents pose significant challenges for organizations, and responding effectively requires more than just technical knowledge.

This presentation is designed for project managers who may not be experts in cybersecurity but want to understand how their project management skills can be applied to this critical area. You will discover the vital role project management plays in organizing, mobilizing, and streamlining cybersecurity incident response efforts. By leveraging familiar project management principles, participants will learn how to adapt their strategies for managing complex incident response projects—ensuring alignment with business objectives even in high-stress, time-sensitive situations.

We will discuss the unique challenges project managers face in incident response, including navigating rapidly evolving cyber threats, managing limited resources, and balancing stakeholder expectations. Attendees will leave with practical insights into fostering adaptability, resilience, and collaboration within their teams, empowering them to lead more effective and timely cybersecurity incident responses without needing to be technical experts.

Learning Objectives for Presentation

  1. Understand the fundamentals of cybersecurity threats
