Speaker Bio

Samant Kumar

Samant Kumar is an experienced Agile Program Manager and Agile Coach at Capgemini with over 21 years of expertise in Agile program/project management and software solution delivery across various domains. He has a strong background from his previous work at IBM, where he focused on agile coaching, leadership, and management across multiple dimensions.

He holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Marketing, a Bachelor of Technology, and has completed the Harvard ManageMentor certificate course. Samant is an active speaker at Agile and Project Management conferences, including Agile 2024 and PMI Houston’s 50th Conference. His accomplishments include winning the Globee Award in 2024 and earning numerous accolades from Capgemini and IBM.

Additionally, he has served as a judge for various prestigious awards such as the Stevie Award, Globee Award, and Texas Science and Engineering Fair. He is a Fellow member of The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and actively mentors through programs like MEN WHO MENTOR and adplist.org. Samant has contributed to several publications featured in respected platforms like UT Dallas Project Management Symposium and Northeastern University’s symposiums. Outside of work, he resides in Katy, Texas, with his family, and enjoys reading, cooking, meditation, and mentoring in spirituality.

Unlocking Team Potential: The Art of Agile Reflection

Description of Presentation

This presentation will help us:

  • Understand the Principles of Agile Reflection: Participants will grasp the foundational concepts of Agile retrospectives and their critical role in fostering continuous improvement within teams.
  • Identify Effective Retrospective Techniques: Attendees will learn various methods and formats for conducting engaging retrospectives that encourage open communication and participation from all team members.
  • Create Actionable Improvement Plans: Participants will develop skills to prioritize and document actionable items, ensuring accountability and effective follow-up in future sprints.
