Modes of Persuasion: The Only Three Ways to Convince Anyone of Anything

From networking to high stakes presentations, we all need to know how to persuade, influence, and convince your targeted listener. If you can speak persuasively, you inspire people to take action.  We can move the listener from where they are to where you want them to be. With simple techniques, you can learn what these three modes of persuasion are, and how to utilize that knowledge to craft productive meetings, presentations, and pitches.

Even a minuscule shift in your awareness of the three modes of persuasion can create increased confidence, profit growth, and an entirely new level of communication mastery.

Laura Mathis is an admired speaker and communication coach with over 20 years of experience. She has taught all forms of communication skills, from high-stakes presentations, handling nervousness, content organization, and corporate storytelling. She is a sought-after keynote speaker, from executive retreats to her 2012 TEDx talk with over 140,000 views. As an Executive Communication Coach at The Speech Improvement Company, she offers private coaching and group workshops to a wide range of clients and industries. Laura focuses on understanding each client’s specific message, the listeners, generating dynamic content, and allowing her clients to convey their ideas more effectively.

Laura is a published author with the American Bar Association. Her book, Acting Skills for Lawyers, incorporates style and presence with persuasive argument skills for maximum impact before a judge or jury. As a coach, Laura brings an insightful, engaged, and dynamic approach, inspiring executives to more effectively craft their message, engage listeners with their unique story and encourage the listener into action. She takes pride that her coaching improves careers and makes a long-term impact on her client’s growth and advancement.

The 90-Second Executive Launch Frame

Attendees will learn the process to launch executive presentations and create discussions rather than Death by PowerPoint. I teach this to executives at Johnson & Johnson, generally at Fortune 500s, and in coaching with emerging young leaders. A radically different way to present to execs that will help their entire career

Isiah McPeakNeuroscience, philosophy, classical rhetoric, music, and a weird background bring that together for me in ways I can offer other people: product management, team leadership, high stakes communication, UX, marketing funnels, and revenue conversations. Isaiah McPeak is an accomplished leader who has turned around major projects from the tiniest startup, to merchants, to Fortune 10s. He has logged more than 5,000 hours teaching at a whiteboard and was named best presenter at Product Camp 23, in Austin.
