Presentation Title: Rise of the Remote: Creative Problem Solving Solutions for Project Managers.

It’s no secret everything about life has changed. People are adapting and pivoting quickly to this health epidemic and economic collapse. As project managers, our teams look to us to keep everything together and moving. How might we do this both quickly and effectively while avoiding our own burnout?

We will cover:

  • Adapting Remote PM Activities (meetings, kickoffs, retros, etc.)
  • Virtual Collaboration & Team Building
  • Maintaining Self-Care & Mental Health (you and your team)

Participants will learn how to adapt their usual workflow not only in a remote setting but with the contextual overlay the trauma a worldwide event has on our work.

Participants will learn the benefits of remote collaboration and decision making which they should keep with them after this event subsides.

Participants will have a new framework & outlook they can take back to their teams to help everyone adapt. Having an impact on the entire organization is crucial for job security at this moment.

I am a project manager by title, party planner at heart. For the past two years, I’ve been growing at Handsome, a holistic design agency in Austin, TX, where I’ve been able to create a diversity & inclusion pilot program. The initiatives outline how we can create safer spaces at Handsome, for our clients, and for the people who interact with our digital experiences to drive innovation and delight. Outside of work I have a few passion projects. I am co-creator of “But, Have You Considered Therapy?” podcast. The mission of the podcast is to make therapy more accessible and normalize the process of seeking professional help. I am also an improv teacher and performer; I helped start improv classes for youth on the Autism spectrum called “Building Connections” at the Hideout Theater here in Austin.
