As you know, medical experts have cautioned us that we are entering an eerily unfamiliar era with the COVID-19 Pandemic spreading across the nation. What we do or don't do in the coming days will have a massive impact on the trajectory of the pandemic. To ensure health and safety, our community should take its civic responsibility to implement social distancing, among other precautionary measures.

Effective March 12, PMI moved to a temporary remote work policy for PMI employees, contractors and third parties for 30 days. PMI Austin Chapter will cancel the March Chapter meeting and other in-person events directly managed by the Chapter through the month of April 2020 until further notice. If you have already registered for an event, a refund will be issued. The PMI Austin Chapter Board remains vigilant and is actively monitoring the status of the outbreak. We will be in constant conversation about precautionary steps we may be able to take to further support our members, volunteers and guests of our events. Stay tuned for more information!

March has always been a lovely month full of festivals and celebrations in Austin. Therefore, social distancing is hard during this time period, but truly necessary. With calmness and clarity, I hope you find ways to enjoy this special time with loved ones and stay well.

PM Best!
