JuLY 17 Lunch N Learn

Title: Project Methodologies and Their Impact on Success (1 Technical PDU)
Speaker: Michael Pace

Have you ever had a project run over budget and/or over schedule? I bet that sounds very familiar. Studies show that the majority of organizations have had at least one project failure in the previous year. Such failure rates leave scholars and practitioners in search of solutions to the challenge that is consistent project success. One such avenue to be explored is the selection of a project management methodology.

This action-packed and interactive presentation will be organized as follows:
1) Level set on the landscape of project management methodologies.
2) Review and discuss anecdotal and scholarly evidence on the relationship between method and success.
3) Conduct a semi-experimental exercise to support the assertion that customization is the best answer for methodology selection.
