Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret; Anger is never without a reason but seldom a good one; Sometimes I get to a point of frustration then I become just silent. Does any of this resonate with you or your project stakeholders? Are some of your team members unapproachable? Then come to learn about the possible causes of this and the tools to empower yourself to respond in a way that will yield the right results—neither confrontation, nor surrender—a dialogue.

Ready, Set, Refer!

Our Member Referral Program will award a $50 gift card to three members with the most referrals during calendar year 2018. For a chance to win, recruit as many new members, past members and/or student members to join/re-join the Austin Chapter from now until December 2018. All you have to do is send an email to membership@pmiaustin.org with the names and PMI ID numbers of the new members you have referred. Winners will be announced at the January 2019 monthly chapter meeting.

MENTORS NEEDED!

If you are a PMI Austin Chapter member with a PMP certification, please consider being a mentor. A mentoring relationship will not require too much of your time; it can even take as little as two to three phone calls or in-person meetings with your mentee. There's nothing more rewarding than providing guidance and support to a fellow professional who needs your knowledge and expertise.

For more information please email mentoring@pmiaustin.org. A mentee is waiting for you!
