Rhonda WolleatRhonda Wolleat, Captain for American Airlines: "Airplanes have always fascinated me and I’ve wanted to fly since I was 7 years old. In 1980 I earned my ratings from Spartan Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK.  I instructed, flew charter, freight, air ambulance and commuters for almost 10 years. American Airlines was my dream job!  I was hired in 1990 as a flight engineer on the Boeing 727 and later moved to the right seat of the MD 80 and Boeing 767.  My current job is Captain on the Airbus 321, flying out of Dallas Fort Worth. My responsibilities include managing the flight crew, understanding aircraft systems and dealing with maintenance directives.  My goal is to make flying a pleasant experience for our passengers as well as the crew I am working with."
